This Is Why You Need A Video! – Part 2
January 4, 2010 – 1:30 pmFor more than a decade now, I’ve been proclaiming the importance of professional video coverage at every wedding event. There are always poignant moments to be captured on wedding day, but every now and then something downright funny happens. It’s those times when I can’t help but say to myself, “This Is Why You Need A Video.” This past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting two awesome events to kick off the 2010 year. The ceremony portion of Kristen and Dan’s event was completely lovely. Their “first look” gave me goose bumps and the full orchestral bell choir was superb during the touching ceremony. In direct contrast, their reception was a non-stop all out party, right from the Best Man’s toast. Things went straight level 10 when the DJ broke out a classic Michael Jackson hit, but the highlight of the evening was the Surprise entrance of a hip hop dancing Monkey. Actually, I’m still not sure exactly what it was. J.P. Elario thought it was a mouse with a HUGE head. Bottom line, everyone in attendance lost it when this character started busti’n moves to “get low”. Fortunately, this couple understood the importance of having their entire wedding day professionally captured on video. Now they will have these and many other wonderful memories to share and reflect on for generations to come. The moral of this story: if you want to have a great wedding day, get yourself a dancing monkey with an over-sized head and let him loose on your guest!
