Amy & Nicholas - Western Turnpike Golf Club

July 1, 2009 – 11:04 am

For me, one of the ultimate complements I could ever get is actually un-stated. It is when a family that I have previously worked for invites me back to capture the wedding day of a second, third or even fourth sibling. In this case, I originally shot the groom’s sister Michelle’s wedding during the summer of 1999. Almost 10 years later their mom called and invited me back for the wedding of her son Nicholas. Once again, it was a pleasure working with such a fun and laid back bunch. Amy, the bride was all ready to go long before I arrived at home for the pre-ceremony coverage. A bit later at the church, the groom and his men were all in good spirits and ready to get things underway. By the end of the evening just about everyone seemed exhausted from the nonstop dance party that was the reception. Below is a quick midtempo peek at the wedding day of Amy and Nicholas. Enjoy!

Carolyn & Marios - Albany Country Club

June 4, 2009 – 7:53 pm

Romantic! That’s it. Plain and simple. Everything was just right about this day. It’s as though the sun, moon, and stars aligned to create the perfect summer day for Carolyn and Marios’s touching outdoor ceremony. Beautiful hilltop vistas served as the backdrop in every direction. Wild flowers and a stunning sunset capped off their magical day. All of this was made even better by the fact that I got to work shoulder-to-shoulder with my ace photographer friend JPE. Please allow me to share a few moments of cinematic bliss, from another beautiful summer wedding day.

Marisa & Makenzie - Glen Sanders Mansion

June 1, 2009 – 6:35 am

The one thought that sticks in my head when I think about Marisa & Makenzie is the fact that the two of them held hands for almost one full hour during our initial meeting. I never mentioned it to them, but in my mind, I was like “wow, something very special is going on here.” Ultimately, their wedding day proved my suspicions to be more than true. Rarely, have I ever seen a couple so attentive to each other on their wedding day. They were almost never apart and when they did separate, it was for very brief moments. For me, this couple made it easy to capture the real feelings and emotions present on their wedding day. Below is Marisa & Mak’s wedding day recap which features their intense loving connection and very romantic wedding day.

The Room (Part 1) - Saratoga National

May 29, 2009 – 6:31 am

When couples come in for a detailed viewing of my work, they will often bring one or both parents with them. Invariably, whenever I forward to the segment showing “The Room” the viewing room becomes either very quiet, or much louder. You see, I have found that brides, and their moms in particular love the opportunity to see “The Room” in which they will be having their upcoming reception. It’s a great opportunity for them to get creative ideas, or just a better feeling about how their floral arrangements might look under certain lighting conditions. Many times, someone will say “can you scan back just a little so we can see how the chair covers look.” Over time, I began to realize that “The Room” segment of the video is one of the most important parts to a couple and their parents, because it is where much of the details, planning and expenses are involved. On May 16, 2009, I was invited to film a rather large and opulent event on the grounds of the Saratoga National Golf Club. Meghan & Chris, invited 350 of their closest family and friends to one of the biggest wedding events of the year, at least in the Saratoga area. In fact, there event so large that it had to be held in an oversized tent instead of the main banquet room. This tent however was not like your ordinary “let’s go camping” tent. The interior of this tent was as elegant as any high end banquet room. It even had full wall-to-wall checkerboard tile flooring throughout the entire covered area. Enough Said - just take a look at the brief room segment shown below and I think you’ll begin to better understand why brides and their mom’s spend so much of their time planning and preparing “The Room”.
